The original architecture and wooden ceilings of this Victorian building makes for the perfect atmosphere of a quaint bed & breakfast. This charming room appropriately named after the Franschhoek village boasts the original high wooden ceilings and loads of character. The Old Village room is a great way to enjoy Avondrood at an entry level. This room is situated in the main house facing the street side. Entrance is from the main lounge with a separate door providing access to the garden and pool. Just like the three main attractions of South Africa these superior rooms are themed to give you a taste of local charm. These rooms all offer private entrances and overlook the 2000 square meter garden. Continuing from the Superior rooms these rooms also all overlook the garden with the Garden room having it’s own private garden with seating area, Ndlovu and Le Rouge have private terraces. Le Rouge and Ndlovu both have wood fireplaces and are the newest additions to Avondrood. Facilities include king size bed (extra length), air conditioning (hot & cold), large en suite bathroom with under floor heating, Victorian bath and separate spacious shower, personalised beauty care range, LCD-TV, DVD/CD- player, alarm clock radio, minibar, coffee/tea making facilities, safe, hairdryer, towels for bathing and swimming, bathrobes, wardrobes for extra storage, desk and seating area for extra comfort.
